About Kiki
Kiki has worked extensively as a management consultant to a wide range of organisations in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, including national and local government. She has been a policy consultant serving in a number of ministries including the Department of Health, the DfES’s Policy Innovation Unit, and the DTI’s Small Business Service (SBS, now BIS).
Kiki is a qualified senior practitioner in Professional Coach-Mentoring and has been increasingly called upon to coach and mentor senior clients in the public and private sectors here in the UK and#Europe. She has also been engaged in small enterprise development since the late-80s and continues to use her experience and knowledge to coach individual small firms on business strategy and top team development.
Kiki is a Consultant Regional Economic Strategy Equalities Adviser to the South East Regional Development Agency (SEEDA) and is supporting integrating the duties of the Single Equalities Bill into policies and business support provision. She has also recently completed a national road show of ‘Influencing Skills’ workshops for the NHS.
Kiki is also described by Barclays as “one of the best keynote speakers / facilitators in the country”, and by Warwick Business School as “world class”, having delivered to over 6,500 SMEs over the past few years, including delivering the acclaimed Barclays national road show seminars ‘Let’s Talk… More Profit’, ‘… Bright Marketing’, ‘… Green Business’ to SMEs up and down the country, ‘Beat the Credit Crunch’ and her highly acclaimed ‘Rocket Fuel: get ahead of the competition’ road shows for Business Links.

Alongside her coach-mentoring and public policy work, Kiki has held a number of Senior Positions (part-time), as well as a number of Ministerial Appointments / Non Exec Positions:
In September 2007, Kiki was appointed to the national Ethnic Minority Business Task Force launched by Minister Margaret Hodge, and set up to help foster growth and boost economic participation among black and minority ethnic (BME) firms and entrepreneurs. The EMBTF has presented its report and recommendations to Lord Peter Mandelson in July 2009.
From 2002 until April 2005, Kiki was appointed Chairman of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight ‘South Central Connexions’ Partnership Ltd. In 2002 she was also appointed to the Learning and Skills Development Agency (LSDA), a national strategic body under the portfolio of Margaret Hodge, Minister of State for Education, and for a short time, was a member of Council at the University of Southampton.
For 4 years until its demise on 31 March 2002, Kiki was a non-executive director of the Southampton & South West Hampshire Health Authority including Chair of the Audit Committee, and member of the Waiting Times Taskforce. She has also previously served on Boards in further education, the contemporary arts, housing, community, and probation.
Research & Policy Experience
Kiki has conducted research and consultancy projects for a range of local authorities, not-for-profit, and public sector bodies. She has also provided policy advice to the Dept of Health, the Cabinet Office, the Dept of Education & Skills (as part of the Policy Innovation Unit under Perm Sec Michael Bichard), and the DTI’s Small Business Service. She has also worked with a number of regional development agencies on the inclusive, & women’s enterprise agenda, including the LDA, EMDA, WBDA and SEEDA.
Organisation Development & Training Experience
Kiki has been involved in designing and delivering top management, leadership, coaching and mentoring programs for the Improvement and Development Agency for local government (IDeA), the Office of Public Management (OPM) as well as in her former role of Associate Director of Strategy and Marketing for Focus Consultancy Ltd.
She has designed and delivered bespoke trainings for the public and private sectors covering Board Strategy Development, Marketing, Succession Planning, Influencing, Negotiation Skills, and Team Building. She’s also been a Senior Lecturer of management practice at Bournemouth University.
Interests
Kiki lives in the New Forest with her partner Berthram Hall. She takes a keen interest in politics, and enjoys bird watching, gardening, amateur photography, reading, and competes in the niche western equestrian sport of Reining. She is a regular contributor to the professional press and has appeared on TV and on radio.
